What is the difference between single & recurring events?
Start by clicking "create event" on the event dashboard, this is found by clicking "Events" in the top right corner. When creating a ticket shop via WeTicket, you can choose between a one-time event or a recurring event. But what exactly is the difference?
1. Single Event
A one-time event is a unique activity that happens only once, usually on a specific date and location—such as an annual music festival.
Other examples include concerts or club nights.
These events have a unique design, description, ticket confirmation, and program.
2. Recurring Event
A recurring event is an activity that takes place regularly, such as daily, weekly, or monthly, during predefined time slots.
The activity itself remains the same, but the available dates and times vary. For example, a weekly theater performance on Friday nights.
Other examples include museums or ice skating rinks.
For recurring events, visitors select a date and time when booking.
| Single event | Recurring event |
🌈 Example | Concert, festival, club night | Museum visit, theater performance |
🧮 Frequency | One-time, unique event | Recurring (daily, weekly, monthly) |
🗓️ Availability | One-time | Flexible timeslots |
After selecting a fitting event type, the event creation wizard opens. You’ll be guided step by step, with short explanations to help you fill in everything correctly.

Add basic details
Name: come up with a clear title for your ticket (required).
Description: optionally add a description that will be visible in the ticket shop, for example what is included or who the ticket is for.

Next you can click on "more options"
Here you find several options. Note that these are not required, but can be handy.

Stop sales: Set when sales for this specific ticket or product should close. Choose a number of minutes, hours, or days before the event starts or ends.
