Legally and according to the WeTicket terms and conditions, you are not required to move tickets to another date or time. Visitors are responsible for selecting the correct option during checkout. If they cannot attend, they can resell their tickets safely via Ticketswap (SecureSwap).
If you want to go the extra mile, there are a few ways you can still help visitors correct their visit date as an extra service. Below we outline several options you can choose from, depending on what best fits your event and workflow.
Option 1: Refund and reorder
Invalidate the original tickets issuing a refund.
Ask the visitor to order a new ticket.
Option 2: Use a Voucher
Invalidate the original tickets without issuing a refund.
Create a voucher for the new event.
Ensure that the voucher allows the customer to obtain a free ticket.
Share the voucher code with the visitor.
The buyer can use it to get a new ticket for the desired event.
