Adding guests to the guest list

Want to quickly add guests to your guestlist? In this article we explain step by step how to create a guestlist and add guests to your event.

Go to your event

Click on Events at the top.

Select the event you want to add guests to.

Then click Guests in the left menu.

In the top right corner, click Add to guestlist.

Create a guestlist ticket

If no guestlist has been created yet, you will see a message that this event does not have a guestlist, by clicking 'Create a guestlist ticket' a new guestlist type is created wit the default title 'guestlist.'

  • Click Create guestlist ticket to create a guestlist ticket type.

  • After creating it, the screen to add guests will open automatically.

Does your event have multiple guestlist types such as Press, Artists, VIP, Commercial guests or other relations? To clearly distinguish guests at the entrance, simply give each guestlist type a unique name.

You can create different guestlist types by going to Settings, Tickets and products, Guestlist tickets. Here you can add as many guestlist ticket types as you need.

Add guests

You can add multiple guests at once, as long as each guest is placed on a new line. Use +2, +3, +4 and so on if you want to add more than one person under the same email address.

You can copy and paste this field directly from a spreadsheet, as long as it follows the layout described above, with the columns: name, email address and number of guests (written as + followed by a number).

WeTicket automatically shows a preview on the right side. In the Preview you can see the guests that will be added and the number of tickets per person.

Choose whether to send tickets by email

  • Below the input field you can enable Send email with tickets.

  • If this option is enabled, guests with an email address will automatically receive their ticket by email.

Add the guests to the guestlist

  • Click Add to guestlist in the bottom right corner to create the tickets.

  • You will see a confirmation in the top right corner that the guestlist tickets are being created in the background.

  • The guests will then appear in your guest overview with the correct ticket type.

What happens at the door?

  • Guests who've been sent tickets

    • Tickets can be scanned in as usual at the door

  • Guests who haven't been sent a ticket

    • Guests can be found in the scan app on the list and can be checked in manually.
