How Do I Place A Test Order In My Shop?

Test an Order in Your Own Ticket Shop

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Want to test how the ordering process works? The best way is to purchase a ticket in your own ticket shop. This way, you go through exactly the same steps as your visitors.

Create a Free Ticket

  1. Go to Your Event Settings

Open the event for which you want to place a test order and go to the 'Tickets' tab.

  2. Add a New Ticket

Click on 'New Ticket' and give it a clear name, such as 'Test Ticket'.

  3. Set the Price to €0

Make sure the price is set to €0 so that you don’t have to make a payment during the test.

  4. Publish the Ticket

Save the changes and ensure the ticket is available in your ticket shop.

Placing a Test Order: Draft vs Published Events

Draft events

  1. When your event is in draft mode, the order button is disabled. This means you cannot order tickets through the POS or the online shop.

  2. Publish your event first to be able to place a test order.

Published Events

  1. Open Your Ticket Shop

Go to the link of your ticket shop and select the test ticket, by clicking "Home" and "Open."

  2. Go Through the Ordering Process

Enter your details and complete the order. Since the ticket is free, no payment is required.

  3. Check the Order

You will receive a confirmation email and can download the ticket. This allows you to see how it appears to visitors.

💡Note: Since you are using a free ticket, payments are not tested. For published events however, you can verify that the payment flow works by selecting a paid ticket—if you are correctly forwarded to the payment screen, everything is set up properly. There’s no need to complete an actual payment to confirm this.
